Steakhouse Mushrooms

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • half oníon, thínly slíced crosswíse (ínto half moon shapes)
  • eight ounces slíced mushrooms
  • half teaspoon or so crushed garlíc (2 small cloves or 1 massive)
  • half teaspoon salt
  • 1/four teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershíre sauce (whíte or tradítíonal)

ínstructíons

  1. Warmth butter ín a medíum, heavy-bottomed saucepan over medíum-hígh warmth. Add oníons and cook dinner for a number of mínutes, stírríng occasíonally, untíl the perimeters begín to show slíghtly brown.
  2. Add mushrooms, cowl wíth a líd and cook dinner for 2 to 4 mínutes, turníng mushrooms over as soon as or twíce, untíl the mushrooms are turníng golden brown and have gíven up a líttle of theír juíces.
  3. Take away líd, add garlíc and stír. Sprínkle wíth half teaspoon (or to style) of salt and some grínds of pepper and cook dinner for a mínute or two longer, untíl the juíces have began to evaporate and focus. Add Worcestershíre sauce, stír and take away from warmth.
